Charles E. Pear Jr.
Charles E. Pear, Jr. is a partner in the real estate practice group and represents numerous clients on dozens of condominium, timesharing and fractional projects, including some of the earliest and some of the largest plans in the nation. He represents developers and lenders, real estate brokerage firms, property managers, homeowners associations, exchange companies, and others. He has also served as a consultant to the State of Hawaii.
Mr. Pear is listed in Best Lawyers in America and in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business. He is also listed in Who's Who in American Law and has an “av” rating in Martindale Hubbell.
Mr. Pear drafted the majority of Hawaii's timeshare law and portions of the ARDA Model Timesharing Act. He also drafted significant portions of the Hawaii Land Court Act. He was an editor of the Hawaii Commercial Real Estate Manual; Editor-in-Chief of the Hawaii Conveyance Manual and a contributing author to various other publications. He has spoken on resort real estate, timesharing and fractional ownership issues at seminars held in Hawaii and elsewhere in the country.
