Miyoko T. Pettit-Toledo is an associate in the firm's litigation department. Her practice focuses primarily on complex civil and commercial litigation, trust litigation, creditor's rights, constitutional law, insurance defense, and appeals.

An alumna of ‘Iolani School, Mrs. Pettit-Toledo graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in American History and Literature and a minor in French Language and Literature. Mrs. Pettit-Toledo then attended the University of Hawai‘i William S. Richardson School of Law. She received awards for achieving the highest grades in Advanced Civil Procedure, Legal Practice I, Legal Practice II (Appellate Advocacy), Second-Year Seminar, Federal Indian Law, International Protection of Human Rights, Business Associations, Immigration Law, and Social Justice Theory and Practice. In 2014, she was a Sam L. Cohen Foundation International Human Rights Summer Fellow. Mrs. Pettit-Toledo served as a teaching assistant for the L.L.M. legal writing and research course and Legal Fundamentals II course. She was also a Case Note and Publications Committee Editor for the University of Hawai‘i Law Review. In 2015, Mrs. Pettit-Toledo graduated summa cum laude as class valedictorian.

Following law school, Mrs. Pettit-Toledo clerked for Associate Justice Richard W. Pollack of the Hawaii Supreme Court and for Senior Judge Susan Oki Mollway of the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawaii.

Mrs. Pettit-Toledo joined the firm in October 2017.
