M4 Summer Associate Program

The summer associate program is an integral part of M4’s hiring effort. Many of our associates and partners participated in M4’s program prior to joining the firm.

We attract and develop the most talented lawyers in the state because of our passion for what we do and quest for fulfillment in the practice of law along the way. Our summer associate classes are small to give you an opportunity to get to know us and see what it is like to work at M4. 

At the start of the program, you will be paired with an associate  to support and guide you through your summer associate experience. Additionally, a partner mentor will help you navigate work assignments, build relationships with your colleagues, and balance the delivery of outstanding work product with a fulfilling and rewarding life outside the office.

Your associate and partner mentors will be available to answer your questions from giving you insight on how the firm operates, the stylistic preferences of partners, the best places to go for lunch, and more.

THE PRACTICE OF LAW.

Take your education from the classroom into the law firm.  Our summer associate program gives you the opportunity to learn about the practice of law, to work alongside experienced attorneys, and to gain insight into the firm.

During your summer at M4, you will work on challenging and complex real-world matters, attend client meetings, and assist with depositions, hearings, trials, closings, and many other facets of the practice of law.

BEYOND THE OFFICE.

Throughout the summer, there will be opportunities to socialize with your colleagues outside of the office.  Outings have included progressive dinners, scavenger hunts, hikes, escape rooms, learning to surf, dinners at restaurants and the homes of partners, community service projects, and more.  We encourage you to get to know us outside the office and let us get to know you.
