Kaena Horowitz is of counsel in the firm’s litigation department. He enjoys the challenge of civil litigation, construction litigation, and insurance defense.
A resident of the Big Island, Kaena previously represented the County of Hawaii as a Deputy Corporation Counsel – including arguing before the Hawaii Supreme Court and twice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit – and, more recently, as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney.
Kaena also gained valuable experience with several boutique litigation firms on Oahu and in Kailua-Kona.
He currently volunteers with National History Day and is the former Head of Program for Kamehameha Schools Hawaii Swimming and Water Polo.
