Jordon J. Kimura

Co-Managing Partner

Jordon J. Kimura is a partner in the Firm’s Litigation and Trusts, Estate Planning, and Wealth Management practice groups. His litigation practice focuses primarily on health care, ERISA, insurance, construction, medical malpractice defense, and probate (wills and trusts) law. Jordon also brings his litigation experience and expertise to effectively counsel Hawaii families, regardless of the size of their wealth, on comprehensive estate plans that incorporates estate tax, gift tax, and asset protection planning while also planning for the surviving spouse and helping to ensure a continuing legacy.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Jordon graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in mathematics, achieving the highest honors designation in his major. He then returned home to attend the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law (“Richardson”), where he received numerous scholastic awards, including the Phi Delta Phi Balfour National Scholarship for scholastic merit. Jordon served as a Comments Editor for Richardson’s law review and a Senior Writing Associate & Teaching Assistant for the Richardson Writing Center Board. In 2009, he graduated summa cum laude from Richardson.

Jordon has served as the Firm’s hiring chair since 2016.  He was selected by his peers to be included in the Best Lawyers in America 2020 and 2021 lists for Insurance Law, and has been identified as one of Hawaii’s “Super Lawyers.”  As part of his commitment to giving back to the community, Jordon counsels the Sex Abuse Treatment Center at Kapiolani Medical Center in all facets of its operations and serves as an officer and director of the non-profit Hawaii Coalition Against Sex Assault and a director of University Health Partners of Hawaii (formerly known as UCERA), the practice plan of the John A. Burns School of Medicine.

Outside the office, Jordon enjoys exploring the world with his wife and being immersed in unique cultures and re-exploring old favorites, training for half-marathons (he retired from marathons after his fourth), and catching up on the latest movies.
